Wine… Rum… Ginger… and Agave? It’s all over the place and like a storm, it sounds like a violent disturbance of an atmosphere (aka your stomach). However, if created right (since you are an expert mixologist by now) the fruit and rum dominate this drink with their tasty flavors. Add in a hint of wine and bitters as a nice structure to the drink. Enjoy!
- 1 1/2 oz Dark or Aged Rum
- 1 1/2 oz Shiraz or Cabernet Shiraz blend
- 1/2 oz Freshly Squeezed lime juice
- 1/4 oz Agave Nectar
- 1 dash Angostura bitters (optional)
- Ginger Beer
Fill a cocktail shaker halfway with ice. Add the rum, shiraz or cabernet shiraz blend, lime juice, agave nectar, and bitters, if desired. Shake well, then strain into an ice-filled Collins glass. Top off with ginger beer.
