Bahia is actually named after one of the 26 states in Brazil and originally dated back to pre-prohibition times, except the cocktail called for dry vermouth, sherry, absinthe and bitters. It’s become more popular in modern culture as this variation has a more Piña Colada spin to it.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 1/2 oz White Rum
- 3 oz Pineapple Juice
- 1/2oz Coconut Cream
- Garnish: Pineapple Wedge, Maraschino Cherry, Mint Sprig
PREPARATION
Add all ingredients to a blender with ice and blend until smooth. Pour into a highball glass. Garnish with a pineapple wedge, a maraschino cherry, and a mint sprig, and serve.
