Caipirissima is a fun and unexpected cocktail made with rum. This drink originated during the colonization of Brazil, when settlers would mix local cachaça with lime or lemon to make Caipirinha. Eventually, Caipirinha’s popularity spread far and wide, and this traditional Brazilian drink evolved into Caipirissima – Caipirinha made with rum instead of cachaça. Of course, Caipirissima can be mixed using dark or white rum depending on your personal taste, but regardless of what type you choose to use; Caipirissima is sure to surprise you every time!
- 2 oz White Rum
- 1/2 sugar cane syrup
- 3-4 Lime Wedges
- Garnish: Lime Wedge
In a rocks glass muddle lime wedges with cane sugar. Add in some crushed ice and pour the rum over it. Stir and then garnish with a lime wedge.
