Cocktail History
Of all Martini cocktails, the Appletini ranks as one of the more popular fruit martinis and comes with a handful of fun facts. Fun Fact #1: In the 2010 film The Social Network, in the initial meeting between Facebook co-founders Mark Zuckerberg and Eduardo Saverin and Napster co-founder Sean Parker, Parker buys the table a few rounds of the drink. After seeing the film, Zuckerberg made the appletini Facebook’s official drink. Fun fact #2: The original Adam’s Apple was advertised by Smirnoff in the front cover of the July 1972 issue of Playboy Magazine.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz Vodka
- 1 oz Sour Apple Schnapps
- 1/2 oz Sweet and Sour
- Garnish: Apple Slice
Cocktail Preparation
Add all your ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice and shake for 20-30 seconds or until chilled. Strain into a martini glass and garnish with apple slice.
