Cocktail History
The 20th Century is a cocktail created in 1937 by a British bartender named C.A. Tuck. It’s also named in honor of the celebrated Twentieth Century Limited train which ran between New York City and Chicago from 1902 until 1967. In 1937, this cocktail first appeared in the Café Royal Cocktail Book by William J Tarling.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz Gin
- 3/4 oz Kina Lillet
- 1/2 oz Creme de cacao
- 3/4 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
- Garnish: Lemon Peel
Cocktail Preparation
In a cocktail shaker with ice, pour all ingredients and shake for 20-30 seconds or until chilled. Strain into martini glass and enjoy!
