This cocktail is a twist on the classic Tequila Sunrise, substituting Tequila for Whiskey. Although a great cocktail better suited for the summer months, the tartness in this drink shouldn’t be ignored all year round.
- 1 1/2 oz Whiskey
- 1 1/4 oz Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
- 1/2 oz Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice
- 1/2 oz Simple syrup
- 1/2 oz Grenadine
In a cocktail shaker without ice, pour the whiskey, juices, and simple syrup. Add ice and shake for 20-30 seconds or until chilled. Then strain into a cocktail glass. Slowly pour the grenadine around the inner edge of the glass, allowing it to run down the sides and sink to the bottom, creating the sunrise effect. Enjoy!
