Devised by legendary NOLA cocktail bar French 75 bartender, Chris Hannah, this is a delightful take on the Sazerac with a Christmas twist. The Averna amaro combines with the whiskey and warm cinnamon and nutmeg aromas of Pimento Allspice Dram for a cocktail of modern classic proportions.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 oz Bourbon Whiskey
- 1/2 oz Averna Amaro
- 1/4 oz Pimento (Allspice) Dram
- 2 dash All spice Bitters
PREPARATION
Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Add ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe or cocktail glass. Garnish with a star anise.
