One of the great classic bourbon cocktails, the Old Fashioned was invented in Louisville, KY. It was developed during the 19th century and given its name in the 1880s, making it a common go-to for people at bars, pubs, and restaurants all over the world. The old fashioned is a cocktail made by muddling sugar with bitters, adding whiskey (rye or bourbon) and garnishing with a twist of citrus rind.
- 1.5oz Whiskey
- Two teaspoons of syrup
- Couple dashes of bitter
- Single orange wedge.
- Garnish: Real Maraschino Cheery
Pour the simple syrup, and bitters into a whiskey glass. Stir to combine, then place the ice cubes in the glass. Pour Whiskey over the ice and garnish with the orange wedge and maraschino cherry.
