Cocktail History

The Manhattan is a classic cocktail and sophisticated drink that has been encapsulating revelers in its enchanting embrace for centuries. Originally concocted by an expert bartender at the Manhattan Club in New York City during a Presidential inauguration party in the 1800s, this smooth cocktail is traditionally crafted with bourbon or rye whiskey and Italian vermouth. It’s then finished off with a dash of Angostura bitters and stirred before being served over ice cubes in a chilled martini glass with a Maraschino cherry garnish. The top-notch Manhattan has stood the test of time and made its mark as one of the world’s greatest libations. Fun fact: even Queen Elizabeth II has sampled this exquisite cocktail! Whether you prefer yours fruity or dry, no legend can compare to these timeless Manhattan cocktails.
