The origins of this drink go all the way back to the 1920s when it was first concocted at the Waldorf-Astoria hotel as Charlie Chaplin rose to fame in silent films. Sloe gin, the main spirit in this cocktail is a red fruit-infused liqueur from England, likely a nod to Chaplin’s British roots.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 oz Sloe Gin
  • 1 oz Apricot Liqueur 
  • 1 oz Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice

PREPARATION

Combine sloe gin, apricot liqueur and fresh lime juice in a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake for 20-30 seconds or until chilled and strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Enjoy!
