The recipe comes courtesy of Chalino, a fabled bartender from the time of prohibition. This drink revolves around the tequila, but the powerful tart of the lemon and lime and the sweetness of the sugar and Chambord take the sting out of it, making it a well-balanced drink. Given this is not a well-known drink, give it a shot because, when it comes to Tequila – why not?
- 3 oz Tequila
- 1/2 tbsp Creme de Cassis (or any Raspberry liqueur)
- 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
- 1/2 oz Lime Juice
- 1/2 tbsp Simple Syrup
Add all the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake well with crushed ice. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass and garnish with a twist of lemon peel.
