The Brooklyn is one of five cocktails named for the boroughs of New York City, along with the Bronx, the Manhattan, the Queens, and the Staten Island Ferry. It resembles a Manhattan, but with a specific type of bitters and the addition of Maraschino liqueur. It fell off the map after the end of Prohibition but regained popularity in the 1990s.
- 2 oz Whiskey
- 1 oz Dry Vermouth
- 1/4 oz Maraschino Liqueur
- 1/4 oz Amer Picon (or Italian amaro)
Combine ingredients with ice into a mixing glass and stir until well-chilled. Strain into a chilled cocktail/coupe glass. Enjoy!
