The bramble is a fun gin cocktail that features a blackberry flavor and is the perfect summer drink. The first-ever created Bramble dates back to the ’80s in London where the drink was made with dry gin, lemon juice, simple syrup, and Crème de Mûre – a blackberry liquor. With this drink, we substitute the liquor with fresh blackberries.
- 2 oz Gin
- 1/2 cup Fresh Blackberries
- 1 1/2 oz Lemon Juice
- Ginger Beer/Soda
- 1 oz simple syrup
- Garnish: Blackberry and Lemon Wedge
In a cocktail shaker, add your blackberries and muddle them with gin, lemon juice, and simple syrup. You want to make sure the berries are broken up to that their juice is released. In a rocks glass filled with ice, strain the mixture into the glass to help remove the seeds. Top it off with Ginger beer or soda. Garnish with a blackberry or lemon wedge.
