Between the Sheets

Ingredients

Between the Sheets is a cocktail consisting of rum, cognac, triple sec, and lemon juice. Its sister cocktail is “Maiden’s Prayer,” which substitutes the rum out for gin. In the 1930s, Harry MacElhone from Harry’s New York Bar in Paris originally created the drink as an alternative to the famous Sidecar cocktail, this time with a heavy pour of rum.

INGREDIENTS

  • 3/4 oz Brandy
  • 3/4 oz Triple Sec
  • 3/4 oz White Rum
  • 1/3 oz Lemon Juice
  • Garnish: Orange Wheel

PREPARATION

Shake all the ingredients together with ice before straining into a cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange wheel.
