Bebbo
Cocktail History
The Bebbo cocktail is similar to the Bee’s Knees cocktail, except that it adds a bit of orange juice – typically blood orange. It originated in 2004 in Ted Haigh’s book Vintage Spirits and Forgotten Cocktails. At first glance, it may not look like anything special. Made with a base of gin, Bebbo is equal parts sweet and tart from freshly squeezed lemons and oranges. But the magic really happens when you add a bit of honey. Bebbo suddenly provides a unique flavor that few other cocktails could match. Although it is not a popular recipe, makes for a great summer cocktail.
