Bamboo VS
Cocktail History
Sherry cocktails are getting a lot of love from bartenders all over the country. The original Bamboo cocktail was one of Japan’s original sherry cocktails created in the 1890s at the Grand Hotel in Yokohama, Japan by a German bartender named Louis Eppinger who worked behind the counter for over a decade and a half, around the same time as Jerry Thomas. The Bamboo cocktail, which calls for Amontillado sherry, has been seeing its fair share of variations which is why we are introducing this “Very Special” version of the Bamboo using cognac, hence the Bamboo VS.
