Abbey Cocktail

Quick Facts

Cocktail History

If you’re looking for a great cocktail during brunch, the Abbey Cocktail is an excellent choice and easy to make with its equal balance of ingredients. It originates from Harry Craddock’s The Savoy Cocktail Book, which was published in 1930. Unfortunately, there is not much history behind the Abbey Cocktail, however, employ this strong, slightly bitter, and sweet detour from mimosas, corpse revivers, and other obvious brunch fares and create history with it.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Gin
  • 1 oz Fresh Orange Juice
  • 3/4 oz Lillet Blanc
  • 2 dashes of Orange Bitters
  • Garnish: Orange Peel

Cocktail Preparation

Pour the ingredients into a shaker with ice and shake for 30 seconds. Fine-strain into a chilled coupe glass and garnish with a lemon twist.
